Measurement microphones

You need the right technology to ensure that sound recordings can be reproduced as accurately and naturally as possible in the studio, on stage or in film and video productions. Directional microphones and sensing microphones as electret microphones or condenser microphones are designed precisely for these purposes. These special microphones ensure that the sound technology remains at the desired high level.

Flat frequency response - high impact

Sensing microphones are usually optimised for a flat frequency response, mostly in the range of 5 Hz - 20 kHz. Most sensing microphones are omnidirectional and are operated with 48 V phantom power. Sensing microphones are mostly used for the calibration of PAs or for reference measurements in speaker construction, e.g. for the calibration of PA sound systems and studio monitoring systems. The high-quality circuitry and 1/4 omnidirectional condenser capsule make this microphone resistant to high sound levels with low-noise conversion. It is therefore a practical tool for achieving reproducible measurements.

Sensing microphones for an ideal sound

Electret condenser microphones, for example, are designed to provide the ideal sound for any room. These are mainly used to understand the acoustics of the room. However, they are also used for critical outdoor recordings, e.g. electret directional microphones with switchable directivity patterns are often used in video and film productions. The delivery includes a microphone holder, microphone windscreen, coiled cable and a handy plastic box. An accurate acoustic picture of the room in question can be obtained with the help of condenser sensing microphones, which can also be used with real-time audio analysers. Condenser sensing microphones usually have a very flat frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. This frequency response and an omnidirectional polar pattern give you a clear and accurate reading of the individual sound characteristics of the room.
