The celexon active HDMI Cable with Ethernet is HDMI 2.0-compliant and transmits signals at up to 18 Gbps with resolutions up to 4K (4096x2160p @60Hz with 8-bit colour depth) and 4K HDR with 10-bit colour depth. Thanks to HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology, a greater dynamic range and colour gamut can be displayed, making the image more brilliant and rich in detail.

The difference from standard HDMI cables with Ethernet lies in the powerful signal amplifiers built into the connector. As cable length increases, the line resistance in the cable rises and cable attenuation increases. This negatively affects signal quality. This is particularly problematic for the transmission of high data rates, as the signal without amplification becomes too weak at the end of the cable to be displayed cleanly.

This results in either image errors in the form of digital artefacts, or the entire image and data connection collapses completely.

To counter this, celexon's active HDMI cables feature a special chip that amplifies the signal at 6 Gbps per TMDS transmission line, enabling lossless signal transmission over longer distances. The celexon active HDMI Cable is available in lengths up to 20m.

The additional Ethernet channel allows internet-capable AV components to be connected to the home network using only an HDMI cable. It is therefore sufficient for the TV to be connected to the network by cable. The AV receiver or Blu-ray player then receives not only the actual video signal, but also the network signal passed through via the HDMI cable. This eliminates the need for a network switch and additional cables.*

The HDMI cables of the Professional Line are triple-shielded and, thanks to their gold-plated contacts, ensure high corrosion resistance and reliable transmission performance.
