The ES111 illuminant owes its name to the lamp shape with a glass bulb diameter of 111 mm. The lamp socket corresponds to the GU10 design and ES111 illuminants fit in all GU10 sockets, provided that the lamp or spotlight is also designed for operation with this illuminant type in terms of structure and safety regulations.

ES111 LED lamps for private and commercial use

The halogen version of the ES111 lamps is particularly suitable for use in upmarket living areas, for illuminating objects and fixtures over long distances and for accentuating the lighting in individual areas. For this, small dispersion beam angles are selected for the illuminant. ES111 lamps are well suited for use in the commercial sector, such as for trade fair or exhibition stands, exhibition rooms or shops. But the spotlights can also be a real eye-catcher in modern private homes. ES111 GU10 lamps are available with varying dispersion beam angles. Particularly narrow, 30° dispersion beam angles are suitable for spot-like lighting. These are ideal, for example, to highlight specific goods or products. The wider dispersion beam angles from 100° are suitable for wide-area illumination in a room. By choosing a dimmable illuminant, the lighting conditions can be adapted to suit the circumstances. Here you can combine the advantages of a very good light output with the option of having unobtrusive and cosy lighting.

When selecting an ES111 illuminant, you should also consider the dispersion beam angle and the illuminant size. ES111 illuminants are available in warm white, neutral white and cool white light colours. Plus you can choose between dimmable, dim-to-warm and non-dimmable lights. Manufacturers also offer a wide range of dispersion beam angles: starting with very narrow and spot-like dispersion beam angles with for example only 13°, up to spotlights with a wide 120° dispersion beam angle. The choice of the dispersion beam angle depends on whether you want to illuminate specific products or individual objects or areas of a room or uniformly illuminate the entire room.

Another important aspect to be considered when selecting the illuminant are the dimensions of the spotlight or the lamp in which it is to be fitted. Although the diameter of ES111 GU10 illuminants is always 111 mm, the lengths of lamps from different manufacturers can vary by a few centimetres.
