OSRAM - that is the name we associate with high-quality and efficient lighting solutions. And there is a reason for this: the Osram company has been a driver of innovation in the fields of light and sensor technology for over 110 years. OSRAM: History with luminosity

BILUX - car and technology enthusiasts are familiar with this. As early as 1925, the company combined high beam and low beam in this car headlight lamp - a milestone in road safety!

Six years later, Osram enabled widespread street lighting in cities thanks to the low-pressure sodium lamp. Since 1936, efficient fluorescent lamps have been illuminating offices and industrial halls. The company invented halogen lamps as well as optical remote controls and rain sensors on cars. In 1985, Osram introduced energy-saving lamps for private households - the DULUX range is still in demand today.

Dazzling prospects for the future

Since 2016, Osram has been focusing on the innovation business in optical solutions with a focus on sensing, illumination and visualisation. Research is currently being conducted in the areas of medical diagnostics, travel and transport, and everyday communication. Products for general lighting have been spun off to Ledvance GmbH. These include a wide variety of LED lighting for private households and professional use as well as aesthetic vintage products.

Fluorescent lamps

DULUX fluorescent lamps are the versatile lighting darlings. Each series brings its own shapes, performance and advantages: DULUX T: The 3-tube technology creates full luminous power with a compact shape. DULUX D: For narrower dimensions, the 2 parallel tubes are useful. DULUX S: The smallest lamp with one tube illuminates limited areas reliably and selectively. DULUX L: Powerful 4-pole technology for large-area illumination. DULUX F: 2 tubes side by side for wide-area efficient illumination of supermarkets or offices.

Fluorescent tubes

Classics for wide-area lighting in industrial halls, workshops, construction sites, offices and hotels are the LUMILUX tubes in various dimensions.

Electronic ballasts

Many Osram fluorescent elements can be upgraded with electronic ballasts. Electronic ballasts combine the ballast and the ignition mechanism in one unit. This enables an instant start without flickering and maximum luminous efficacy. In addition, defective lamps switch off automatically so that they cannot cause any consequential damage.

Halogen lamps

Halogen lamps are popular alternatives to LED and energy-saving lamps. Their great advantage is that they shine in daylight colour and thus bring a particularly natural light (warm white) into rooms. In addition, they are aesthetically close to the original light bulb. In the LTT online shop you will find, among other things, the well-known DECOSTAR range with cold mirror reflector. These are used for accent lighting and special appliance lighting, for example as refrigerator or cooker lamps.

High-pressure discharge lamps

Lamps with high-pressure discharge are suitable for use in large halls and outdoors, for example on sports fields, in industrial and trade fair facilities, in museums and at exhibition areas as well as in parks and in pedestrian zones. A distinction is made between metal halide lamps with ceramic and quartz technology and Vialox lamps. The latter work with high-pressure sodium vapour technology and are suitable for illuminating buildings, bridges and monuments.

OSRAM LED lamps: Efficient and durable!

The new all-rounders are convincing all along the line and outperform other lamp types in terms of switch-on time, consumption, service life, switching stability and dimmability - in short: Osram LED lamps are both user-friendly and exemplary in terms of energy efficiency.

The LTT online shop stocks various LED lamps, LED pins and LED tubes for indoor and studio lighting as well as special applications. They replace classic fluorescent tubes, for example, or are used to set fine lighting accents. LED lamps are also available in the chic filament design, which is modelled on the incandescent lamp.
