LD Systems MAUI 44 G3 - 4-Way Cardioid Column PA System

LD Systems MAUI 44 G3 All-in-One Array System

The LD Systems MAUI 44 G3 is a fully active 4-way column PA system with a passive cardioid column design for demanding live applications. The system combines powerful full-range sound, high headroom, and controlled dispersion with quick and easy handling.

The subwoofer features a powerful 15" neodymium woofer that delivers punchy and precise low-frequency response down to 34 Hz. Specially optimized bass-reflex ports reduce air turbulence and airflow noise, ensuring that the bass remains clean and well-defined even at high volume levels.

The two-part column houses a total of 14 × 3.5-inch neodymium midrange drivers and 4 × 1-inch compression drivers. In the upper column section, newly developed phase plugs and BEM-optimized waveguides ensure homogeneous sound dispersion. In the lower column element, horn-loaded midrange drivers increase efficiency and enable high volume headroom as well as powerful and clear reproduction in the vocal range. The result is coherent midrange and high-frequency reproduction with a dispersion angle of 120° × 25°.

The column's passive cardioid design focuses sound energy toward the audience and attenuates rear radiation by up to 18 dB. As a result, significantly less unwanted sound reaches the stage. With an additional, rear-facing MAUI 44 G3 SUB and the cardioid preset, this principle can also be applied to the bass range: the bass is amplified toward the audience while being significantly reduced behind the system. For a pure bass boost, the second subwoofer is oriented forward, providing double the sound pressure level of +6 dB.

Two XLR/jack combo inputs, two thru outputs, and a dedicated sub output enable straightforward system integration and flexible expansion. Thanks to Bluetooth 5.4 with SBC and AAC codecs, the column PA becomes a versatile sound system.

The polyurea-coated subwoofer enclosure made of birch plywood, along with the robust aluminum columns, ensures high durability in daily use. Four ergonomic carrying handles on the subwoofer and recessed handles in the columns facilitate transport and handling.
