celexon Toslink Optical Audio Cable 1.0m - Professional line

The optical celexon Toslink audio cable transmits digital stereo and multi-channel audio signals in the best quality and is therefore perfectly suited for connecting input and output devices via the connector typically labelled "Toslink".

Using the SPDIF (Sony/Philips Digital Interface) interface, audio signals are transmitted uncompressed and losslessly. The key difference from digital Cinch cables, which also transmit audio signals via the SPDIF interface, is that this is a fibre optic cable that transmits signals via light pulses. This technology has the advantage that galvanic isolation prevents differing ground potentials, thus eliminating the risk of ground loops.

Originally developed in the 1980s by Toshiba, this technology has since become widely adopted across manufacturers.
