The DMX splitters of the ISP-4 and ISP-6 lines amplify an incoming DMX signal and make it available on 4 or 6 outputs. This allows the 32-device limit of the DMX standard to be safely exceeded and star topologies to be created. ISP splitters can also be used as repeaters to transport a DMX signal over longer distances. DMX signals are often disrupted by the environment or by connected devices. An ISP-4/ISP-6 splitter can completely eliminate these interferences if it is used at a point where the signal is still "readable." With individually optically isolated outputs and an optically isolated input, the ISP prevents harmful voltages at one connection from reaching the other connections and damaging the equipment connected to them. ISP splitters work in DMX/RDM environments as well as in pure DMX environments. The devices are designed for mounting on a DIN rail and are powered by a separate power supply unit.
