The Allen & Heath SQ6+ is a powerful 48-channel digital mixing console designed for professional live sound, touring, theater, conferences, broadcast, permanent installations, and recording. With its 96 kHz XCVI Core engine, a total of 44 buses, 25 motorized faders, and a large 9-inch touchscreen, the SQ6+ combines extensive mixing capabilities with intuitive and convenient operation.

With 24 local XLR mic/line inputs, 14 XLR outputs, 16 assignable SoftKeys, and 4 SoftRotaries, the SQ6+ offers a high degree of direct access to key functions. This makes the mixing console ideal for larger and more complex productions that require a fast workflow and a comprehensive physical user interface.

96 kHz XCVI Core and 48 Input Channels

At the heart of the Allen & Heath SQ6+ is the powerful 96 kHz XCVI Core. A total of 48 inputs are available for the mix. The flexible mix architecture includes 12 stereo aux/group mixes plus LR, as well as 6 mono/linkable matrix channels.

Each input channel features extensive processing with a high-pass filter, a gate (including sidechain and filter), a freely assignable insert, a 4-band parametric EQ with RTA, and a peak/RMS compressor. The mix buses come standard with parametric EQ, 28-band graphic EQ, and a compressor.

25 Motorized Faders and 9-Inch Touchscreen

For fast and convenient operation, the SQ6+ features 25 motorized 100-mm faders that can be organized across a total of six channel strip layers. This allows even large-scale productions to be managed clearly.

The large, responsive 9-inch touchscreen with a modern dark GUI provides quick access to channels, processing, routing, and other functions. Channels and mixes can be dragged and dropped onto the desired channel strips, and can be individually named and color-coded.

16 SoftKeys and 4 SoftRotaries

For even more direct access, the Allen & Heath SQ6+ offers a total of 16 freely assignable SoftKeys and 4 freely assignable SoftRotaries. Frequently used functions and parameters can thus be individually placed on the user interface.

The patented chromatic channel metering also provides quick visual level monitoring directly on each channel strip and supports level display down to -72 dB.

DEEP Processing for Professional Signal Processing

The SQ6+ is DEEP Processing Ready. Optional emulations of classic analog hardware can be integrated directly into the channel and mix signal paths. Processing occurs without additional latency and can be applied simultaneously across all channels.

12 FX Engines with RackExtra and RackUltra

A total of 12 FX engines are available for extensive effects processing. Eight RackExtra FX engines feature dedicated stereo returns and provide access to high-quality reverbs, gated reverbs, delays, modulation effects, and other effect models.

In addition, the SQ6+ features 4 built-in RackUltra FX engines with their own stereo sends and returns. Originally developed for the Allen & Heath dLive system, the RackUltra platform supports high-quality reverbs, vocal tuning and pitch processors, distortion, saturation, and other professional effects. The four engines can also be operated using RackExtra FX.

32x32 USB Audio Interface and SQ-Drive

The built-in 32x32 USB audio interface supports both 96 kHz and 48 kHz and enables multitrack recording, backing track playback, live streaming, and virtual soundchecks via a connected computer.

With the built-in SQ-Drive, recording and playback can also be performed directly via a USB storage device. It supports up to 16 channels at 96 kHz or 32 channels at 48 kHz, as well as stereo recording and playback—all without the need for an additional computer or DAW.

128x128 SLink and Flexible Expansion Options

The built-in 128x128 Intelligent SLink port allows the SQ6+ to be connected to compatible Allen & Heath stage boxes, expanders, and other mixing consoles. This enables the system to be flexibly adapted to different requirements and production sizes.

Additionally, an I/O expansion slot is available for optional cards. Supported expansions include Dante, MADI, Waves, and additional SLink. This allows the SQ6+ to be integrated into professional digital audio networks, FOH/monitor systems, and broadcast environments.

Automatic Mic Mixing

For conferences, panel discussions, and broadcast applications, the SQ6+ features powerful Automatic Mic Mixing. Two independent 24-channel AMMs can be used simultaneously for two separate zones or combined into a single 48-channel AMM.

Flexible Remote Control via App

The SQ6+ can be remotely controlled via free Allen & Heath apps. For example, with SQ+ MixPad, the mixer can be operated directly from the event venue. With SQ+ 4You, up to eight musicians can control their own monitor mixes via compatible iOS or Android devices.
