The Allen & Heath SQ7+ is the largest digital mixing console in the SQ+ series and was designed for professional users who require maximum control and extensive connectivity options. With 48 input channels, 44 buses, 33 motorized faders, and a 96 kHz XCVI core, the SQ7+ is ideal for live sound, touring, theater, conferences, broadcast, permanent installations, and professional recording applications.

With 32 local XLR mic/line inputs, 16 XLR outputs, 16 assignable SoftKeys, and 8 SoftRotaries, the SQ7+ offers exceptional direct access to channels and functions. The large 9-inch touchscreen with a modern Dark GUI ensures clear and intuitive operation.

96 kHz XCVI Core and 48 Input Channels

At the heart of the Allen & Heath SQ7+ is the powerful 96 kHz XCVI Core. A total of 48 inputs are available for the mix. The flexible mix architecture includes 12 stereo aux/group mixes plus LR, as well as 6 mono/linkable matrix paths, offering extensive possibilities for monitor paths, groups, zones, and complex sound reinforcement systems.

The input channels feature extensive processing with a high-pass filter, a gate (including sidechain and filter), a freely assignable insert, a 4-band parametric EQ with RTA, and a peak/RMS compressor. The mix buses also offer parametric EQ, a 28-band graphic EQ, and a compressor.

33 Motorized Faders for Maximum Control

The SQ7+ features 33 motorized 100-mm faders that can be organized across six channel strip layers. This gives the mixing console particularly direct access to a large number of channels and mixes, making it ideal for large-scale productions.

The patented chromatic channel metering allows for quick visual monitoring of signal levels directly on each channel strip. The level display ranges up to -72 dB.

9-inch Touchscreen with Dark GUI

At the center of the user interface is a large, responsive 9-inch touchscreen. The modern Dark GUI ensures a clear layout and excellent readability in a variety of work environments.

Channels and mixes can be dragged and dropped onto the desired channel strips and can be individually named and color-coded. This allows the user interface to be flexibly adapted to your personal workflow and the specific production.

16 SoftKeys and 8 SoftRotaries

For quick access to frequently used functions, the Allen & Heath SQ7+ features 16 assignable SoftKeys and 8 assignable SoftRotaries. This allows important functions and parameters to be individually assigned to the user interface and accessed particularly quickly during a production.

DEEP Processing for Professional Signal Processing

The SQ7+ is DEEP Processing Ready. Optional emulations of classic analog hardware can be integrated directly into the channel and mix signal paths. Processing occurs without additional latency and enables high-quality signal processing directly within the mixing console.

12 FX Engines with RackExtra and RackUltra

For professional effects processing, the SQ7+ features a total of 12 FX engines. Eight RackExtra FX engines each offer dedicated stereo returns and access to high-quality reverbs, gated reverbs, delays, modulation effects, and other effect models.

Additionally, 4 integrated RackUltra FX engines with their own stereo sends and returns are available. The RackUltra platform, originally developed for the Allen & Heath dLive system, enables the use of high-quality reverbs, vocal tuning and pitch processors, distortion, saturation, and other professional effects. The four engines can alternatively use RackExtra FX as well.

32x32 USB Audio Interface and SQ-Drive

The built-in 32x32 USB audio interface supports both 96 kHz and 48 kHz. This makes the SQ7+ ideal for multitrack recording, backing track playback, live streaming, and virtual sound checks via a connected computer.

Using the built-in SQ-Drive, recording and playback can also be performed directly via a USB storage device. It supports 16 channels at 96 kHz or 32 channels at 48 kHz, as well as stereo recording and playback—without the need for an additional computer or DAW.

128x128 SLink and Flexible Expansion Options

The built-in 128x128 Intelligent SLink port enables connection to the Allen & Heath Everything I/O system. Compatible stage boxes, expanders, and other Allen & Heath mixing consoles can thus be flexibly integrated into the audio system.

In addition, the SQ7+ features an I/O expansion slot for optional cards. It supports expansions for Dante, MADI, Waves, and additional SLink. This allows the digital mixing console to be integrated into complex audio networks, FOH/monitor systems, and broadcast environments.

Automatic Mic Mixing

For conferences, panel discussions, and broadcast applications, the SQ7+ offers powerful Automatic Mic Mixing. Two independent 24-channel AMMs can be operated simultaneously for separate zones or combined into a single 48-channel AMM.

Flexible Remote Control via App

The Allen & Heath SQ7+ supports remote control via free apps for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. With SQ+ MixPad, for example, the sound engineer can control the mixing console directly from different areas of the venue. With SQ+ 4You, up to eight musicians can control their own monitor mixes via compatible mobile devices.
