What is Prolyte used for?

Prolyte is used to build load-bearing structures for the event and entertainment industry. Prolyte truss, roofs, towers, decks and crowd barriers support lighting, audio, video and scenery on concert stages, at festivals, corporate events, exhibitions, theatres, clubs and permanent installations. Prolyte roof systems provide weather protection for outdoor stages, tower systems lift line arrays and LED walls, decks create performance surfaces, and crowd barriers manage audiences safely. In short, Prolyte provides the structural backbone that suspends, supports and elevates production equipment reliably and within certified load limits.

What is the difference between H30V and H40V Prolyte?

The difference between H30V and H40V Prolyte lies mainly in cross-section, load capacity and application. The Prolyte H30V is a lighter 290 mm square truss designed for short-to-medium indoor spans, quick rigging and touring, where fast handling matters. The Prolyte H40V is the heavier-duty series with a larger profile and higher load ratings, intended for wide spans, ground support and roof structures. In practice, choosing H30V versus H40V is the step from medium loads and moderate spans to demanding, high-load rigging. Always confirm your decision against the published WLL load table rather than the series name.

What is the composition of Prolyte truss?

Prolyte truss is composed of an aluminium alloy lattice. Each section combines main chord tubes (the outer load-bearing tubes) with welded diagonal and, on square truss, horizontal bracing tubes. The alloy is typically an EN AW-6082-grade aluminium, chosen for a strong strength-to-weight ratio. Sections are joined using conical couplers with connection pins and R-clips, or spigot connections, depending on the series. Tube diameter and wall thickness define the load capacity: lighter series use thinner tubes, while heavy-duty series use larger diameters and thicker walls. Certified welding under standards such as EN 1090 ensures the structural quality of Prolyte truss.

The truss you should buy depends on your free span and hanging load, not on brand alone. For wide spans, ground support and roofs, step up to a heavy-duty 50 mm / 3 mm system like Prolyte H40V or Naxpro HD34. For extreme loads, consider a 60 mm / 5 mm system such as Naxpro GS94.
