A fog machine generates a thicker, denser burst of fog that dissipates more quickly. For club and DJ use, a haze machine running water-based fluid is generally preferred because it creates a consistent atmosphere throughout the set. Why is truss rigging important for professional DJ setups, and what safety standards apply?

Truss rigging is essential when hanging lighting fixtures, haze machines or speaker arrays above a DJ booth or dance floor. Any overhead rigging must be rated to a documented working load limit (WLL) and comply with BGV C1 (German event safety regulation) and EN 1090 structural standards.
