The Allen & Heath Xone:K3 is a fully configurable professional MIDI controller for DJs, producers, and live performers. With a total of 52 physical controls, three freely configurable layers, and up to 174 assignable MIDI parameters, this compact controller offers extensive capabilities for controlling DJ software, DAWs, effects, and hybrid performance setups.

52 controls and up to 174 MIDI parameters

The Xone:K3 combines a variety of controls for exceptionally versatile operation. It features a total of 30 buttons, 12 rotary knobs, 6 continuous encoders with push function, and 4 faders with 60 mm of travel.

With three fully independent and freely configurable layers, a single Xone:K3 can control up to 174 individual MIDI parameters. This makes the controller ideal for complex DJ, live, and production setups without taking up unnecessary space.

Xone Controller Editor for Custom MIDI Mappings

The free Xone Controller Editor app allows you to customize the behavior of the Xone:K3. MIDI CC and note commands can be assigned to individual controls and layers. The RGB LED feedback can also be configured to suit your workflow.

Custom mappings can be stored in the controller’s internal memory, saved in a personal library, or exported as portable files. This makes it easy to back up, transfer, and share custom configurations with other users.

Compatible with Xone:K1 and Xone:K2 Mappings

The Allen & Heath Xone:K3 was developed with existing users of the Xone:K series in mind. Existing K1 and K2 mappings can still be used, making the K3 particularly easy to deploy as a modern replacement or as an extension of an existing setup.

USB-C and X:Link

For flexible integration, the Xone:K3 features USB-C and X:Link. Via X:Link, the controller can be connected directly to compatible Allen & Heath Xone mixers. These include, among others, the Xone:96, Xone:PX5, Xone:43C, Xone:23C, and compatible DB mixers.

The USB-C port also supports setups with multiple controllers in a star topology. Multiple Xone:K3 units can be automatically detected and named regardless of the system being used. This enables extensive controller setups for professional DJs and live performers.

Class-Compliant – No Additional Drivers Required

The Xone:K3 functions as a class-compliant USB MIDI controller and requires no additional drivers. It can be used with MIDI-capable software on macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android.

Power is conveniently supplied via USB-C bus power, eliminating the need for a separate power adapter in many applications.

RGB Feedback for Optimal Visibility

The buttons and push functions of the encoders feature RGB LED feedback. Colors can be individually defined via the Xone Controller Editor and used, for example, to identify different functions, layers, or operating states.

Especially with complex mappings and live performances, the visual feedback facilitates quick orientation and enables an efficient workflow.

Rugged Construction for Clubs and Touring

The rugged die-cast metal housing was designed for professional use. Screw-mounted potentiometers, tactile buttons, and the sturdy construction ensure high reliability in mobile applications.

Thanks to its slim design, the Xone:K3 can be positioned next to a DJ mixer, controller, or other equipment to save space, making it ideal for club, touring, and studio setups.
