MAIN FEATURES

Tone arm-free DVS control eliminates needle "jumping" during digital playback

No matter how hard you scratch, you'll never experience the PLX-CRSS12's needle skipping in digital vinyl mode thanks to the tonearm-free system. When you touch it, the new MAGVEL CLAMP locks the record in place so it can directly control the digital music file, giving you the feel of real vinyl without using the tonearm. When you play vinyl, it feels the same as with the popular PLX-1000.

Customizable setup

Customize the feeling to your style

You can quickly and easily adjust the "weight" of the vinyl with the dial on top of the MAGVEL CLAMP. This means you can effortlessly continue your performance without changing slipmats or slipsheets.

Adjustable torque

You can easily change the turntable torque to your liking in the utility settings. Choose between "High" for a quick start when pressing PLAY, "Low" for the standard torque that many DJs are familiar with, and "Medium" for a balance between the two.

Adjustable braking speed

Use the switch on the front of the deck to set the time it takes for the platter to stop when you press STOP. The "Min" brakes very sharply. The "Medium" uses the standard braking duration that many DJs are familiar with. And the "Max" creates the longest braking duration for a gradual and dramatic finish to a track or performance.

Performance pads for precise and fast control

The PLX-CRSS12 has classic turntable layout elements, but a new addition is the 4 built-in MIDI assignable performance pads that let you use your favorite functions at the touch of a button. They're right where you need them - just below the record - so you can fire off hot cues and samples faster than ever before, which is even more handy if you're working with a mixer without pads. There's native support for several PAD modes (see below). There's also a dedicated button that lets you switch control from pads 1-4 to pads 5-8, and the pads can be mapped via MIDI so you can assign them to other functions.

OLED display for quick confirmation of track information

The built-in OLED display also helps you focus on the deck. You can keep an eye on the tempo range and key while step pitching, and also get BPM, key, and deck number information when you connect the PLX-CRSS12 via USB to your PC/Mac running DJ software. You can also quickly access utility settings via the display. So you don't have to be distracted during a gig because you don't have to keep looking at your laptop or mixer.
